Kanye West has surprised wife Kim Kardashian with a heartwarming gift to celebrate her 40th birthday this week: a hologram message from her deceased father Robert Kardashian.
Posting to Twitter, Kardashian gushed over the thoughtful present, calling it 'a special surprise from heaven'.

She said: "For my birthday, Kanye got me the most thoughtful gift of a lifetime. A special surprise from heaven. A hologram of my dad. It is so lifelike and we watched it over and over, filled with lots so tears and emotion.
"I can't even describe what this meant to me and my sisters, my brother, my mom and closest friends to experience together. Thank you so much Kanye for this memory that will last a lifetime."
The hologram Robert Kardashian recalled fond memories between the pair while wishing his daughter a happy birthday, and later even had a bop to the pair's favourite song.
"You're 40 and all grown up," Robert - who died in 2003 - tells Kim in the nearly two-and-a-half-minute clip. "You look beautiful, just like when you were a little girl. I watch over you and your sisters and brother - and the kids - every day."

He then asked if Kim remembered him driving her to school 'in my tiny Mercedes' while listening to Barry Mann's 'Who Put the Bomp,' at which point the hologram dances and sings.
"I am so proud of the woman that you've become, Kimberly, and all that you've accomplished," the hologram continues. "But most impressive is your commitment to become a lawyer and carry on my legacy. It's a long and a hard road, but it's worth it, and I'm with you every step of the way.
"You are a proud Armenian, and I am a proud Armenian father."
Things then got a bit weird, with the hologram - the speech obviously penned by Kanye - then praising her for marrying 'the most genius man in the world.'

It concluded: "Keep doing what you're doing, Kimberly, you are a beautiful soul. Know that I am very proud of you and I am always with you. I have built a firewall around our family. I love you. Don't forget to say your prayers."
Reactions by fans were mixed, with one commenting: "This is creepy and weird."
Another criticised the hologram Robert's 'ineloquent' speech, saying: "Yuck. Firstly, the speech was so ineloquent. I can't imagine as a top lawyer, Robert K would have spoken anything like that. Secondly, imagine Kanye thinking that this was an appropriate moment to shoehorn in that 'most most most amazing genius' compliment. What a weirdo."

Others defended the star, with a fan telling haters: "She's just sharing a moment of her life... which is what social media is about? If you don't like it just don't watch it lol."
Amid her 40th birthday celebrations, Kim recently came under fire over her private island party getaway, which reportedly cost $1,000,000, so Kardashian and her family 'could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time'.
