Everyone's fantasy boyfriend Keanu Reeves said he would 'be honoured' to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
While he hasn't been included in the likes of the Avengers of the Guardians of the Galaxy teams, it's clear he's thought about being a part of the MCU.
"Isn't it bigger than a universe?" he asked Esquire, suggesting he's perhaps a little too familiar with the movie franchise.
"It's almost like a multiverse... It's a Marvel-verse. It would be an honour.
"There's some really amazing directors and visionaries, and they're doing something no one's ever really done. It's special in that sense in terms of the scale, the ambition, the production. So it'd be cool to be a part of that."
Imagine seeing him in a superhero uniform taking his bad*** moves from The Matrix and John Wick trilogies to fight villains from other dimensions.
He's practically born for it.
Reeves is doing the press trail ahead of the release of The Matrix Resurrections, where he will be reprising the role of Neo opposite Carrie-Anne Moss' Trinity.
In his cover interview with Esquire, Reeves and a variety of celebrity friends addressed a number of rumours and theories about his life, including the potential of a relationship between him and Sandra Bullock, who he starred alongside in 1994's Speed.
Bullock denied the duo had ever been anything more than friends, but she did muse on whether they could have made it as a couple.
"Keanu's a guy who, I feel like, is friends with every woman he's ever dated," she said.
"I don't think there's anyone who has something horrible to say about him. So maybe we could have survived. I don't know.
"But we didn't have to survive anything. We just get to grow up together on parallel roads and tip our hats and meet for a dinner and try to work together,"
"And the longer time goes on, the more in awe I am of the human being. Would I have been able to say that if he had dumped me and made me angry? Probably not."
Resurrections has an all-star cast including Reeves and Moss, with Jada Pinkett Smith, Lambert Wilson and Daniel Bernhardt all be reprising their roles from the franchise.
Newcomers Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Christina Ricci and Telma Hopkins are also joining the franchise.
Laurence Fishburne, who played Morpheus in the films, confirmed he hadn't been invited back for the films, but said he didn't know why.
"I am not in the next Matrix movie, and you'd have to ask Lana Wachowski why, because I don't have an answer for that," he said.
