Lifetime Is Doing A Christmas Film About The KFC Colonel's Forbidden Love
KFC is wading into the Christmas film franchise by giving viewers a look at where the Colonel came from - the fast-food giant has teamed up with Lifetime to make an original mini-move called A Recipe for Seduction. Watch the trailer below:
The origin story will star Mario Lopez from Saved by the Bell fame as Colonel Harland Sanders.
The rough synopsis goes as the following: A young heiress falls in love with a handsome, young chef who has a secret fried chicken recipe that will change the world.
Despite concocting the perfect combination of 12 herbs and spices, his love is denied by the heiress' mother, who had handpicked someone else for her daughter to marry.
Andrea Zahumensky, the CMO of Kentucky Fried Chicken in the States, said in a statement: "We could all use a little distraction this holiday season, so why not fill some of your time at home with a suspenseful drama and the comfort of our world-famous fried chicken?
"A Recipe for Seduction is a perfect excuse to curl up at home and escape to your own happily ever after."

The movie is expected to land on Lifetime on 13 December and will be available for streaming from the channel's website. It's unclear how or if people outside the US will be allowed to watch it, but no doubt everyone will be wanting to see Mario Lopez's take on the Colonel.
The movie is only expected to be around 15 minutes long, so if you're a little short on time during the Christmas period, fear not, this will be perfect.
Since the trailer for the film debuted on social media, people have been going wild for it.
One person wrote: "Whatever KFC's marketing team is being paid it's not enough."
Another said: "And the French say Americans have no culture - take that!"
A third added: "FINALLY, MY FANDOM HAS REACHED LIVE ACTION STATUS!!!"
So, if you're keen on seeing how the Colonel found his true love then you can gear up for this epic story.
