Lidl's Tomahawk Steak Is Going Back On Sale Tomorrow

Just in time for the barbecue.

Thanks to the African plume, a heat wave is upon us. It's the perfect time to head down to the beer garden, or even better, have all your mates round for a BBQ. Of course, when you're hosting a BBQ you're always going to get judged by the quality of your meat. Nobody likes a tiny sausage after all.

If you want to pull out all of the stops then Lidl has you covered. From tomorrow, you can give your friends the biggest amount of meat they've ever experienced in the form of their Lidl's Tomahawk steak. This massive meaty treat is set to hit their shelves tomorrow morning, just in time for the weekend. All you'll have to worry about is whether or not your puny barbecue can take it.

Last year, the Tomahawk steaks were the highlight of many a meat lover. None so more than Michael, who forced what I'm assuming is his girlfriend to take a photograph of him with the girthy packet of beef.

The meat, which is rib-eye beef on a six to eight inch bone, has been dry aged for 14 days and further matured to 21 days, which Lidl says leaves the steak extra juicy. It was enjoyed by hundreds of people across the UK and you can see why. For some, it's enough to share, but not for Andy.

Lidl themselves say the steak has "a fuller flavour with exceptional tenderness and succulence". Here you can see the finished article. Surprisingly it doesn't take five hours just to get it medium rare.

However, if you want to pick up the Tomahawk steak then you'll have to be fast, as they sell out in no time are only available while stocks last. There's even been reports of people hanging outside the store before opening time just to get a taste.

The steak is produced in the UK from British beef and will be on sale tomorrow for £14.99 per kg at all of Lidl's 760 UK stores.
