Finally, the news we all need.

While actors, singers, and musicians are all famous for their craft, they have other hobbies that keep them entertained.

For some, it's art or property or collecting luxury cars, but for Lorde, it's onion rings.

Yep - the two-time Grammy Award-winning artist runs an onion review page on Instagram that has proved to be very popular with her fans.

But her 52,000 followers have been waiting in anticipation and desperation after the page went quiet for five months.

Thankfully, she has delivered a new review and people are frothing over the brand, spanking new content.

She wrote: "Yoosh lads back with another ring post... these were from the Hotel Ponsonby establishment, we're talking PICKLED onion rings which is a first for this reviewer.

"I totally vibe the concept- used to eat pickled onions out of the jar as a youngster- however I think if you're gonna go there, go there, and let acidity rather than sweetness dominate.

"Absolutely sensational batter, perhaps the best I've tried. 4/5 overall ringsperience."

The Hotel Ponsonby is in Auckland and sadly it could be some time before the rest of the world gets to try out their onion rings.

She's only done eight other reviews about her onion ring encounters and took a big hiatus between 2017 to 2020. Naturally, her fans were devastated during that period.

To be fair, she released her critically acclaimed album Melodrama that year and went on a humungous world tour, so it's understandable she might not have been able to keep up with the onion ring reviews.

This latest one has many fans hoping there will be plenty of reviews to come in the future.

No one actually knew it was Lorde operating the Onion Rings Worldwide Instagram account until she confirmed it during an interview with Jimmy Fallon.

Many suspected the 'Royals' singer was behind it when the account was in its infancy because it was followed by Lorde and people close to her.

But when news articles started circulating about the potential link, the account was shut down. She was eventually asked by Fallon about whether she was involved and she came clean.

"I have to explain for a second, here's the thing," Lorde said. "I sort of naively didn't realise that it would be a thing, that I was going to different places and trying the onion rings at each of those places.

"I feel like it reads like the kind of thing a popstar would do to look relatable, which I wasn't! It was a funny thing with my friends on the tour and I was like, 'This is a good pastime.'

"I just felt like now everyone knows about it and it would be something I was doing to curry favour, and I'm like, people are going to be throwing onion rings at me on tour, and it's going to be a whole thing."

Thankfully, she hasn't listened to that inner saboteur and will hopefully be giving us more reviews in the future.
