While loads of us have been donning the simple, blue surgical ones, others have been getting creative and flexing a bit of style with their personal protective equipment.
One of those people is Macaulay Culkin, who has just debuted one of the best face masks seen over the last few months.
The actor wrote on Twitter: "Just staying Covid-safe wearing by the flayed skin of my younger self. Don't forget to wear your masks, kids."
Of course, the mask image is from the classic and iconic scene from Home Alone, where Culkin's character, Kevin McCallister, puts on aftershave for the first time and realises it can burn your face. After posting a picture of the mask on social media, the 40-year-old has been flooded with hilarious comments.
One person said: "This is the worst thing you have ever done and I've seen Richie Rich."
Another added: "Are you gonna post a pic with the mask or?"
A third wrote: "You can't do this and not say where to buy it."
People have also been posting photos in the comments section of them wearing the exact same mask. Looks like great minds think alike.
Fans of the actor were shocked when he revealed he was turning 40 this year. His birthday was in August and people couldn't believe the cherubic young kid they all remembered from Home Alone had grown up.
Culkin wrote to his fans on Twitter: "Hey guys, wanna feel old? I'm 40. You're welcome."
He added: "It's my gift to the world: I make people feel old. I'm no longer a kid, that's my job.
"Since I'm 40 I think it's about time to start my midlife crisis. I'm thinking of picking up surfing. Do you all have any suggestions? Do any of you have photoshop skill? Can you put my head on a surfer so I can get an idea of how cool I'd look?"
Even though Culkin is well remembered for his role in Home Alone, he hasn't completely hung up his acting boots. He was recently cast in the 10th season of American Horror Story and fans were very excited.
