Security guards have been forced to intervene after things got heated between Machine Gun Kelly and Conor McGregor.
TMZ claims the scuffle was sparked because the Irishman wanted to get a photo with the 'Bloody Valentine' singer as they gathered outside the Barclays Center for the MTV Video Music Awards.
MGK denied the request and reportedly pushed Conor away.
Things escalated when McGregor fell backwards, dropped his walking cane and spilt some of his drink.
The fighter hopped back up and threw whatever was left of his beverage at MGK and his girlfriend Megan Fox.
A source told TMZ that the fighter stuck out his hand as he got close to the singer, however MGK said something and his security pushed Conor away.
They added Conor was surprised at what happened and the way he was treated.
Security ensured the singer and MMA star couldn't get close to each other and tensions eventually simmered.
A source at the scene told Page Six: "They scuffled then it settled down and Conor went for him again."
The person added that the photographers 'weren't happy' and were 'saying they were going to boycott Conor because they were worried MGK and Megan wouldn't walk'.
Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox eventually walked the red carpet and Conor was let inside to watch the VMAs.
Despite there being photographic evidence of the scuffle, a representative for McGregor told Page Six nothing happened and that Conor 'only fights fighters'.
When interviewed by Entertainment Tonight, Conor also claimed he had no idea who Machine Gun Kelly is.
"I don't know. He showed up, and I don't know. I don't know the guy," the fighter said.
"Nothing happened with me, I only fight real fighters, people that actually fight, you know what I mean? I certainly don't fight little vanilla boy rappers. I don't even know the guy. I don't know anything about him, except that he's with Megan Fox."
MGK was asked by Variety about what happened and he bizarrely just slapped the microphone and walked away.
