Marvel boss Kevin Feige has confirmed Charlie Cox will be coming back to play Daredevil in the MCU.

Fans were outraged when Netflix pulled Daredevil from its streaming service and Marvel announced there wouldn't be any more seasons made.

Everyone has been wondering whether Matt Murdock could once again be on the small or big screen and we've finally been given that answer.

During his press tour for Spider-Man: No Way Home, Feige was asked whether Cox would appear in Tom Holland's third Spidey film.

"If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil," Feige explained to CinemaBlend.

"Where we see that, how we see that, when we see that, remains to be seen."

There have been rumours the character could make an appearance in his civilian form ever since the first trailer for No Way Home dropped.

While Feige's comments aren't a confirmation that Cox is in the third instalment, it does at least confirm the MCU won't be recasting the role and they could have plans for his return soon.

This is massive news for Marvel and Daredevil fans because the British actor said he would only come back to the role if they had something special.

He was asked during an interview with The Pop Culture Spotlight on SiriusXM whether he would want to come back for a reboot and he appeared to be a bit apprehensive about the idea.

"You've got to be careful what you wish for. You come back and it's not as good or it doesn't quite work or... too much time has passed, it doesn't quite come together in the same way," he said.

"If there was an opportunity for me to come back as Daredevil, whatever that would look like, I imagine it would be a reimagining of the character and the show."

It seems like the Marvel engine is already cooking up a Daredevil reboot.

David Hayter, who has worked with the likes of X-Men and Watchmen, explained during a UK convention that work is very much underway in that department.

He told Small Screen at MCM Comic Con: "They're doing a reboot of Daredevil, and Daredevil was always a very important character to me.

"I loved the first way they did it, but there's certain things that I would want to adapt from the Frank Miller run on Daredevil that really meant a lot to me. That's really the one."

The big question will be whether Charlie Cox is in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which drops on December 15.
