A nightclub has been very cheeky after Taylor Swift re-released her iconic Red album last week.

While the pop star has never confirmed who a lot of the break-up album is about, many have suggested it references her relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal.

The singer and actor dated and broke up before the album was released in 2012 and there are a lot of references to heartache and devastation.

Well, The Vermont Hollywood in Los Angeles held a Taylor Swift-themed night to celebrate the new version of the album and it packed a few digs at her exes.

One clip that has gone viral on social media is a mashup of Jake Gyllenhaal movies where he is crying while Swift's legendary 'We Are Never, Ever Getting Back Together'.

When the track was released nearly a decade ago, fans immediately pointed to Gyllenhaal as the topic of the song, which talks about how Taylor refused to get back together with her ex despite his repeated attempts.

Many thought the nightclub's dig at the actor was pretty rough considering Swift and Gyllenhaal only dated for a few months.

One viewer said: "This was so unnecessary and shouldn't be anyone's business except Taylor's and Jake's but the world wanna butt in."

Another added: "This negativity towards Jake adds NOTHING to Taylor's legacy. It's going to backfire at some point. It's too much."

A third wrote: "Oh my god the world is straight bullying this man right now I feel bad."

The Vermont Hollywood didn't stop at Jake Gyllenhaal as it played Swift's 'Style' with vision of Harry Styles playing on the big screen.

Harry and Swift dated in 2012 and many reckon the song released in her album 1989 is about him. Even though the lyrics playfully talk about clothes, there is a possible subtext about the former One Direction singer.
