We've all seen it happen - even the slightest shred of fame can go to someone's head and make them believe they're worthy of special treatment.

This certainly hasn't been the case for Married At First Sight star Jonethen Musulin, however, whose celebrity status backfired somewhat when he was in Hobart for one night only.

The reality TV star messaged The Grand Poobah Hotel to say he wasn't hanging around the Tasmanian capital for long and wondered if - rather than queueing outside with the normies - he could cut in line, in exchange for posting about the pub.

Not one to mince their words, the establishment replied and said: "Nah, you can stay in the line... this one's for Connie."

The savage riposte was later posted by The Wash's Instagram page.

People were absolutely blown away by the exchange, with one person writing: "How embarrassing oh my god."

Another added: "Hahahahahahhhaha brutal."

For the uninitiated, Jonethen didn't exactly win over Australia on his season of MAFS due to the way he treated his on-screen wife.

There were moments were he seemed utterly committed to Connie and wanted to make their TV marriage work, and then there were other times it appeared he was... well, less interested.

Aussies watching at home followed the journey of his contrasting emotions and actions, as Connie struggled to keep up with which Jonethen was going to rock up each episode.

Despite saying he wanted to leave Connie, during one of the show's commitment ceremonies, he later said he hoped Connie would opt to stay, even though he wanted to bail. Looks like The Grand Poobah Hotel still hasn't got over it.
