Normal People Author Sally Rooney Is Releasing A New Book This Year
If you're still not over the drama involving two Irish school sweethearts who just can't make it work, then the following news will hit you hard.
Sally Rooney, author of the incredible Normal People novel that was turned into a limited miniseries, will be releasing a new book later this year.
Beautiful World, Where Are You is due in September and judging from the synopsis it's going to be just as wretched as Connell and Marianne's relationship in Sligo.
The plot is described as: "Alice, Felix, Eileen, and Simon are still young - but life is catching up with them. They desire each other, they delude each other, they get together, they break apart. They have sex, they worry about sex, they worry about their friendships and the world they live in.
"Are they standing in the last lighted room before the darkness, bearing witness to something? Will they find a way to believe in a beautiful world?"
You can already feel the tension, tears and emotional rollercoaster.
Normal People was actually Sally's second book and it was so successful that the BBC and Hulu teamed up to turn it into a 12-episode series.

Many were begging for more, even though that's where Rooney's novel ended.
We said goodbye to the pair in a very heartbreaking way: Connell (played by Paul Mescal in the TV series) was accepted to pursue his studies in New York City and Marianne (Daisy Edgar-Jones) decided to stay in Ireland and enjoy the life she had set up.
The reaction to the TV series was so massive around the world, the decision was made to turn the author's first book, Conversations With Friends, into a limited series as well.
Conversations with Friends will be put together by some of the people who did Normal People, however no release date has been set yet.
The show's co-producer Ed Guiney said: "It's the same basic team. Lenny's [Abrahamson] going to direct it and is across it as an EP. And Alice Birch and all of us at Element Pictures.
"So, in a way, that's what we'll be turning our attention to next. But maybe down the line we'll come back to Connell and Marianne."
We cannot wait.
