People Are So Unbelievably Confused After Seeing Christopher Nolan's New Film Tenet

It makes Interstellar and Inception look like child's play.

Christopher Nolan's new film Tenet is living up to the hype that was promised in the trailer: confusion.

Of course the brain that brought you the likes of Memento, Interstellar and Inception was going to deliver another mind crushing, visually spectacular movie that would wow the senses.

However, it seems like people are really, really confused by Tenet.

The official synopsis for the movie is listed as: "A secret agent is tasked with preventing World War III using an unusual ability to alter the flow of time." There's a proper, more detailed explanation of the plot listed online, however it will spoil everything if you read it.

The big thing to know is that there is a lot of time travelling going on in the film, which makes it difficult to keep track of what the hell is going on.

Since being released last week, viewers have flocked to social media to ask that exact question.

One person wrote on Twitter: "I've never been so confused walking out of a movie in my life. I legit don't know what happened over the past 2.5 hours. I really enjoyed Inception and followed the plot easily with no issues. This one? I was kinda lost 40 mins in and never quite knew where it was headed."

Another added: "Just seen Tenet and i'm feeling very confused...can't decide what to feel about it??? It looked and sounded good but i'm genuinely not sure what just happened."

A third summed it up with: "So. Tenet. Quite an experience. One that needs to be seen, confused by, talked about for hours and then planned for multiple trips to even be comprehended. There is so much to love and like, but plenty to be frustrated with. Also, this film is louder than any nuclear bomb."

That final point has been a big stickler for some viewers as the score sometimes overshadowed the dialogue, making it hard to work out what the characters were saying.

In a romantic comedy, you won't miss out if you lose a couple of sentences, however for Tenet, literally every line is necessary to grasp what it happening.

It's 100 per cent definitely worth a watch, however you won't be alone in wanting to see it two, three or even four times to understand what's just happened.

The film has received loads of rave reviews and all praised Nolan for his incredible storyline and the visuals that bring it together. Just make sure you don't get distracted at any point.
