PewDiePie Posts Picture In Sea & Drives Instagram Crazy

PewDiePie went all NuDiePie earlier today in an Instagram post that sent his fans into a frenzy. The YouTube super streamer was snapped like a Bond girl, rising out of the water with only his cupped hands covering his modesty.

PewDiePie, whose real name is Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg was born in Gothenburg, Sweden but currently resides in the UK where the picture was presumably taken.

The saucy snap was posted to his 17.4m followers with the caption and is closing in on two million likes with comments still flooding in.

One person said: "The Little Mermaid we need, but not the Little Mermaid we deserve"

Another comment read: "You are a mermaid, Felix!"

A third commenter had a more sinister message for the YouTube star: "PewDiePie flashes children at the beach."

How much is PewDiePie worth?

When Googling himself on a live video he read from a website claiming that he earns $3,400 (£2,600) per hour, saying: "I don't know exactly how much I make per day but it doesn't seem too far off which is pretty crazy when you think about it."
We did our own calculations and worked out that:

  • PewDiePie's average earnings per video: $37,722 (£30,058)
  • PewDiePie's average earnings per month: $1,823,600 (£1,453,108)
  • PewDiePie's average earnings per year: $27.88 million (£22.22 million)
  • PewDiePie's net worth: $58-97 million (£46.2-77.3 million)

That's not bad considering he's only 29 years old and doesn't include what he makes aside from YouTube such as book sales.

Despite PewDiePie already having more YouTube subscribers than the entire population of Germany, we have a feeling that number is set to shoot right up.
