Snoop Dogg Wants To Perform At The Next Super Bowl Halftime Show With Some Big Names

Over the decades, there have been some pretty impressive Super Bowl Halftime Shows and everyone will have their favourite.

However, next year's event could be one for the history books if Snoop Dogg gets his way.

The iconic rapper wants to headline the entertainment event which attracts just as many viewers as the game itself.

But The Doggfather wants to bring some friends along with him.

Because Super Bowl LVI will be played at California's SoFi Stadium, Snoop wants to wow the crowd with some of the biggest names in the rap game.

"I'm available, Dre's available, Eminem's available, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent - whoever Dr. Dre wants to pull out of his hat to make this thing a professional event and make it big and the biggest effort they can have.

"It's just a matter of the NFL pulling the trigger."

Snoop has also promised that if he was picked, alongside the likes of Fiddy, Kendrick, Em and Dre, then they would make sure it wasn't your stock standard performance.

If you cast your memory back to 2012 when Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg stood alongside the hologram of Tupac Shakur at Coachella, you'll remember how goddamn iconic that was.

A decade later, Snoop would want to match or top that moment.

"I wouldn't just walk out. I would definitely do something that would be mind-blowing, you know what I'm saying? People will be talking about it for the next 30 years," he said.

"I'm open to anything that's dope, unique, edgy, and cunning. This will be cutting-edge, just for my people."

The ball is now in the NFL's court and they will be under pressure to keep the hype of the Halftime Show alive.

It's been a mixed bag over the past few years as the sporting code has tried to find entertainers who are not only relevant but who can also make their slot legendary.

This year's Halftime Show was done by The Weeknd, which was the first fully solo performance since Lady Gaga in 2017.

In recent years, we've also been treated to the likes of Justin Timberlake; Jennifer Lopez and Shakira; Maroon 5, Travis Scott and Big Boi; and the mega line up in 2016 of Coldplay, Beyonce, Bruno Mars, and Mark Ronson.

Here's hoping we get to see rap celebrated at Super Bowl LVI.
