If you love a freebie then you'll love what Sony has in store for you this August.
If you've signed up to Playstation Plus, then you'll get access to a selection of free games for your PS4 and PSP for absolutely no added cost. Usually Sony provide four of five titles in their giveaway, but you need to be quick to grab them as they'll return to full price as soon as the next free games are revealed. Fortunately, you get to keep the whatever games you've managed to download after the swap.
As well as getting free games from PS+, it allows you access to certain multiplayer modes. There are other perks as well such as discounts on games and early access to betas and demos.
There was plenty of controversy last month as Sony swapped out PES 2019 for Detroit: Become Human in the PS+ lineup at the very last minute. After further investigation, even Konami who make the game weren't aware of the news.
"I cannot really tell you what happened because I just found out today, in the morning when I opened my laptop," European PES brand manager Lennart Bobzien told Gamespot. "I can't really explain."
Horizon Chase Turbo was the other free game for July.
Without further ado, here are the free games for August 2019:
WipEout Omega Collection and Sniper Elite 4.

If you haven't joined Playstation Plus yet, then you can "Power up your play and join PS Plus on a one, three or 12 month recurring plan" according to the Playstation store.

Twelve months will set you back £49.99 which is equivalent to £4.17 a month.
Three months is £19.99 which is equivalent to £6.66 a month. One month is £6.99.
Happy gaming!
