Spin-Off TV Series About Groot Is In The Works

Fans will be happy to hear that Guardians of the Galaxy will expand further with a brand new original series of shorts for Disney+.

The spin-off series will star everyone's favourite little tree.

Yep, that's right - the adorable Groot is officially getting his own show, appropriately titled I Am Groot.

According to Disney, the series is also set to feature 'several new and unusual characters.'

There's no word on whether Vin Diesel has been tapped to play the role for the TV series considering he's the voice behind the superhero tree in the film franchise.
