Joe Rogan caused a stir when it was announced he was partnering with Spotify in a deal reported to be worth around $100 million.
The streaming service would get access to his past and future podcasts, which feature wide-ranging interviews with people from all corners of the world.
However, it seems like since the deal kicked in yesterday (1 September), there are some episodes missing.

A detailed list of all the episodes that haven't made it onto the app have been posted on a Reddit page for The Joe Rogan Experience.
Conspiracy theorists Alex Jones and David Seaman have had some of their interviews omitted, as well as far-right figures Owen Benjamin, Stefan Molyneux, Milo Yiannopoulos, Gavin McInnes, Charles C. Johnson and Sargon of Akkad.
A couple of comedian Chris D'Elia's episodes aren't there, as is podcast regular Joey Diaz's interview that contained one joke he made about coercing female comics into oral sex.

Interestingly, some other noted guests like documentary maker Louis Theroux and pot activist Tommy Chong have had an episode each not uploaded. Neither Joe or Spotify have revealed the reason behind the move.
The revelation has left a bitter taste in the mouth of many Rogan fans, who have taken to social media to vent their anger.
One person wrote: "This begs the question of whether being on Spotify will affect the guests that come on going forward."
Another added: "He really needs to address this in his next podcast, AND fix it. No amount of explanation will address the fact that this is politically inspired censorship. These episodes need to be reinstated - otherwise kiss goodbye to any future podcasts with these people, and the shows entire integrity."
A third said: "What it means is joe will have safer guests on and avoid controversial ones. That's a sell out for ya. His literal guest choice will be dictated by Spotify. Who's allowed and not allowed."

When responding to a customer complaint, according to a user on Reddit, Spotify claimed that some missing episodes were due to licensing issues.
Joe said that 'all' the episodes would be uploaded when the deal was finalised and that the partnership wouldn't affect the way he does his show.
Rogan said: "They want me to just continue doing it the way I'm doing it right now. It's just a licensing deal, so Spotify won't have any creative control over the show. It will be the exact same show. We're going to be working with the same crew doing the exact same show."

Only time will tell whether the episodes are reinstated or if this spells a new way forward for Rogan.
