The icons took on a 2012 hit from the Aussie indie band and it was absolutely stunning.

After much speculation, the iconic band The Wiggles have done their Like A Version performance for Triple J.

Dressed in their skivvies, the band enlisted the help of OG Wiggles Jeff (purple) and Murray (red) to help them out.

The band decided to go with Tame Impala's 2012 epic track 'Elephant' and boy was it something.

Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins explained how the group chose the Aussie indie band to cover.

"We wanted to choose something Australian," she said on the radio station.

"For most of the time that we've had the honour of going to The ARIAs, we get to see Tame Impala a lot on stage. We've never really met them properly but we thought that we'd like to pay tribute to this amazing Australian band."

Original and current member Anthony Field (blue) added: "We know people take [Like A Version] very seriously.

"So we didn't want to stuff it up. Also, it's an amazing song, and it's deceptively hard. I thought it was going to be like [Norman Greenbaum's] 'Spirit In The Sky' but you get into it and...the guy's a genius!"

But in true Like A Version fashion, the band also had to perform something of their own and they did not disappoint.

The Wiggles took everyone back to a time that was much simpler and performed their rehashed anthem 'We're All Fruit Salad'.

Everyone was wondering what cover the band would do and the suggestions were just as entertaining as the real deal.

One person on social media wrote: "Just got banned from commenting on Facebook because I said The Wiggles like a version on Friday will be Wiggly A** P***y by Cardi B."

Everyone from Cardi B to Queen were suggested but I think we can all agree this Tame Impala cover is next level.
