It looks like the second season of the wild docu-series is coming sooner than we thought.

It seems like it was just yesterday that the Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness took the world by storm.

The show gave us an escape during lockdown and we marvelled at the wild lives of eccentric zookeeper Joe Exotic and his even wilder beefs with fellow big cat enthusiasts.

Now, with the one year anniversary of the Netflix sensation approaching on March 20, it seems like we could be in for even more madness.

Netflix hasn't confirmed any plans for a sequel, but some of the cast from the original series have been making pretty explicit allegations that we'll be getting season two 'pretty soon'.

What's On Netflix has uncovered zoo manager John Reinke and jet ski extraordinaire James Garretson have both spilled the beans on the second season via Cameo.

Reinke spoke of the show's forthcoming season by telling one follower: "I want to thank you guys for watching Tiger King and get ready, yup, believe it or not, there's another season gonna come out pretty soon so keep your eyes out for that".

He added that he hoped he's still the good guy in it, saying: "I get to see it when you get to see it".

Similarly, several Cameos from James Garretson teased that 'something' is coming around March or April 2021, so you do the math.

If a second season is on the cards, you can rest assured you won't be seeing Carole Baskin in it.

It's very likely Carole Baskin won't be joining the second season.

Following her less than favourable portrayal on the first season, Baskin was famously not happy with the creators of the documentary.

Speaking to Radio Times this week, she said: "It was just a few weeks ago that [co-director] Rebecca Chaiklin had reached out asking if we could clear the air.

"I have been speaking about how we had been so misled into thinking this was going to be the Blackfish for big cats and then it turned out to be the freak show that they produced.

"So when she said she wanted to clear the air, I felt like, you know, that's just absolutely ridiculous.

"It was so obvious that I had been betrayed by them. Why would she ever think that I would be willing to speak to them again?

"And so I told her to just lose my number."
