UFC president Dana White has ripped into the Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul fight and laughed at the people who paid money to watch it.

The bout managed to go the full eight rounds and no one was declared a winner or loser because there wasn't a single knockout.

There has been a lot of commentary about the fight, which has netted both Paul and Mayweather a hell of a lot of money.

But there has been no stronger critic than Dana White.

He was interviewed by MMA Junkie's Farah Hannoun, where he said: "That wasn't a f**king boxing match. Like I said before, there's always going to be a market for that kind of stuff.

"There's always going to be people that are willing to put down $50 to watch that kind of stuff. That's so far away [from what we do]."

He took particular issue with the people who forked out good money to watch a world class boxer fight a YouTuber for eight rounds that didn't produce many decent moments.

"I'm not trying to s**t on these other guys," he said. "Listen, if you've got people that are stupid enough to spend that kind of money, you deserve to take those dummies' money. They deserve it.

"The guys who went out and fought and got you to pay $50, they deserve your money. You're stupid."

White said the hype around watching professional boxers fight reality stars will cripple the sport and tarnish its name.

He said: "Think about this...imagine if Kim Kardashian wanted to fight Amanda Nunes. How big do you think that fight would be? It would be huge. It would be the biggest [event] but give me a f**king break.

"You create this energy around a fight where you're like 'oh this [is exciting]' and then you watch it and then you turn the TV off and go 'I just wasted another evening, I should have gone out and did something else.'

"I don't ever want people feeling like that when they turn the TV off watching some of our fights."

It's clear Dana won't be doing anything like what has been happening in the boxing scene, however some pundits aren't too upset about the idea.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan was actually pretty impressed by the Paul vs Mayweather bout.

He praised Floyd for being a man in his 40s to come out of retirement and 'make more money than any other boxer alive'.

He also celebrated the 50-0 boxer's confidence 'that he has to have in his skills to fight a guy 20 years younger than him and 35 pounds heavier '.

Rogan was similarly impressed with the YouTuber managing to go eight rounds with a fighter who has never lost a bout and knock out his opponents in more than half his matches.

"Just going eight hard rounds with a superb multi division world champion like Floyd is pretty f**king incredible," Joe said.

"He survived and he even managed to land a few punches... Yeah it was a freak show, and yeah real world class boxing between champions is better, but I thought it was pretty f**king interesting."
