When he was young, his family relocated to Kansas, where he attended Broadmoor Junior High, Shawnee Mission West and later went to the University of Kansas for about two years. He then went to the British Drama Academy to further his acting skills.
In 1995, Paul Rudd kickstarted his career when he delivered fantastic performances in 'Clueless' and 'Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.'

Paul Rudd actually played a minor role in Friends. He first appeared in 'The One with the Pediatrician' and featured in 17 episodes. He played the part of Michael 'Mike' Hannigan, who was Phoebe's love interest and third husband. Mike was met with mixed views by fans. Some fans felt that Hannigan was an extraneous character who did not add much to the series, while others felt he added a sense of depth that was somewhat lacking at the time prior to his introduction.
