Soulja Boy has been in the news recently for accepting a boxing match against YouTuber, Jake Paul. So, we thought now is a better time than ever to learn all about the rapper.

Soulja Boy, also known as DeAndre Cortez Way, is a rapper, producer, actor and businessman who was born in Chicago. He became famous after he posted tracks to SoundClick, MySpace and YouTube. In 2007 he signed a deal with Interscope records and released debut single 'Crank That (Soulja Boy)' which rose to number one in the U.S Billboard Hot 100.

He became the youngest artist to write, perform, and produce a No. 1 song in more than 20 years.

How old is Soulja Boy?

Soulja Boy was born on July 28, 1990 making him 29 years old.

What is his net worth?

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Soulja Boy's net worth is $30 million.

How did the fight come about?

The random feud started back in February this year when Jake Paul tweeted Soulja Boy, "I wanna box Soulja Boy."

The rapper replied: "Boy, I'll knock you out".

They then had a heated conversation via Instagram Live, with Jake Paul offering $20 million for the fight.

A few weeks later, Paul visited Soulja's mansion, where they agreed to fight.

Recently, his manager took to Instagram to confirm the news that the fight would go ahead after the rapper's early release from prison:

During an interview on The Breakfast Club, he claimed he taught Drake everything he knows. He said: "You know, I taught Drake everything he knows. Come on, man. Stop playing with me. You know that"

He reiterated the statement in a second interview, this time with Entertainment Tonight, he said: "If you listen to Drake's first single... he copied my whole bar word for word and my cadence and my flow from my song. Can I just get my credit?"
