Eminem Announces The Slim Shady LP Reissue With Bonus Tracks
To tie in with the 20th anniversary of Eminem's seminal album The Slim Shady LP, the rapper has announced a reissue of the record, which features 10 bonus tracks including 'rarities, freestyles, a capellas and instrumentals'.
The album was originally released on 23 February 1999, and was Eminem's major-label debut after Dr Dre and Jimmy Iovine signed him to Interscope Records and Aftermath Entertainment.
Boosted by the singles 'My Name Is', 'Role Model' and 'Guilty Conscience', it went on to sell over 18 million copies - the quadruple-platinum album was deemed the rapper's big commercial break.
In a tweet the performer wished the album a happy birthday, writing:

Many fans have taken to Twitter to pay tribute to the iconic album, and share what it meant to them.
One person tweeted: "You've come so far & influenced/inspired so many people. You're 10, almost 11 years sober, your music is still as insane as ever, & you never switched up on anybody. you're one of the most humble rappers out here & I'm so damn proud to call myself a Stan. HBD Shady #SSLP20."

A third wrote: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY. I mean I was 4 years old when this album dropped, but I'm so grateful for this man and his music. Literally saved my life and my sobriety as well. #STILLDONTGIVEAFUCK #SSLP20@Eminem Keep that middle finger up and the music flowing."
And a fourth added: "It's one of a few albums where I never skip a single track. Ever. It's iconic. It spoke so much sense to me as a disillusioned, angry 16yr old."
Some people also shared their thoughts on the bonus tracks, with one saying: "The a cappella version of "Just Don't Give A Fuck" on the expanded edition of The Slim Shady LP is everything. #SSLP20."
Another simply mused poignantly about the passing of time, saying: "The Slim Shady LP is 20 years old today. Feeling old yet?? #SSLP20."
I mean, they've got a point: HOW the hell has it been 20 years?!
