Eminem Freestyles About Ariana Grande And Manchester Bombing In New Rap

“I’m not gonna finish that for obvious reasons.”

It feels like just yesterday that Eminem was embroiled in an almighty rap feud with Machine Gun Kelly following the release of his diss-filled album Kamikaze. Well, it looks like the rapper's already at it again with a brand new torrent of zingers and hot takes, via a freestyle entitled 'Kick Off'.

An 11-minute video, shared by the star on social media, was recorded live at the Shelter at St. Andrew's in Detroit, Michigan, and saw Marshall Mathers firing shots at Christina Aguilera.

He also name dropped everyone from Justin Bieber and Reese Witherspoon to Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.

However, the biggest reaction came in response to his comments about Ariana Grande and the Manchester Arena bombing.

Here's how his lines went: "Like an Islamic regime, a jihadist extreme radical / Suicide bomber that's seeing / Ariana Grande sing her last song of the evening.

"And as the audience from the damn concert is leaving / Detonates the device strapped to his abdominal region / I'm not gonna finish that for obvious reasons."

Yikes! As you'll well know, he's referring to the May 2017 attack which saw an explosive device detonated during an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena, with 22 people losing their lives and hundreds injured in the senseless attack.

Grande recently opened up about her devastation over the attack in an open letter to her fans, stating: "The spirit of the people of Manchester, the families affected by this horrendous tragedy, and my fans around the world have permanently impacted all of us for the rest of our lives.

"Their love, strength, and unity showed me, my team, my dancers, band, and entire crew not to be defeated. To continue during the scariest and saddest of times. To not let hate win. But instead, love as loudly as possible, and to appreciate every moment."

Eminem's never been one to stay away from controversy, and following 'Kick Off', it looks like he's not ready to take a seat just yet.

Alongside the freestyle session, posted to his 22.4 million Twitter followers, the rapper revealed his inspiration behind the rap with the caption: "The release of BODIED has me feeling nostalgic about battle rap so I headed down to my old stomping grounds."

Plenty of people were angry that he would bring up such a sensitive issue:

Others felt that the criticism was unwarranted:

While if anything managed to summarise the confusion surrounding Eminem's actual intentions, it was this tweet:

The question now is, will Ariana Grande respond to Em's comments? Perhaps yes, perhaps no. But as Twitter user Anonymous commented below the post, "Something tells me he's preparing for something."

We'll have to wait and see if this sentiment turns out to be true.
