One of Eminem's collaborators Denaun Porter 'confirmed' that Eminem's new album is finished, only to later shatter fans' hopes by revealing he was just 'trolling the trollers'.

During an Instagram livestream, he was asked if he was working on the new album and he responded by saying: "No, we are done. How about that?"

Hyerbeast reports that Porter called the project 'amazeballs'. I didn't know people were still using that word.

But he has since told Complex that he was just winding up the people who kept asking him about the album.

He said: "They trolled the shit out of me the whole time.

"Anytime they come in there, they can expect to get trolled with any kind of question like that. I'm never the person to give up that kind of information.

"I might say, 'Hey, we're working on it' or 'Hey, we're close.' But I'm never going to be the guy that gives up the information. But they can get trolled."

During the run-up to the American presidential elections, Eminem released 'Campaign Speech', and mentioned that there was a new album in the works, tweeting at the time: "Don't worry I'm working on an album! Here's something in the meantime."

But since then he's remained tight-lipped over details.

However, other people involved with the album, haven't been so hush hush. In July, Allen Hughes, director of The Defiant Ones told Uproxx: "People don't know this: Dre records every day. Literally, he's in there recording songs every day.

"He's like Picasso in that way. He's always painting. Right now he's producing, in the 11th hour, a track for Eminem's latest album.

"So, Dre's still real active in music, you know? But I hear what you're saying. It's the truth."

Causing fans to think the new album was imminent because he used the phrase 'the 11th hour', however, they're still waiting...

Just a few months back Hits Daily Double shared a 'leak', which claimed the album would be released in autumn.

They wrote: "Our spies tell us to expect albums this fall from Eminem (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope), Taylor Swift (Big Machine), and Sam Smith (Capitol), three of Uni's biggest stars."

Although it's been a while since he released any new material, the rapper has kept himself busy touring, playing Reading and Leeds festival and sending birthday messages to fellow rappers:

His last album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, was released in November 2013, so it's been a long, old wait for fans of the rapper.
