Loads of us have been desperately craving those glorious Saturday nights where you can meet up with your mates and make memories for life.

A central part to a good night out or a big event is music and while most large-scale festivals have been cancelled or postponed, there is a new event that will virtually bring us all together.

NTS Radio has devised an epic 24-hour virtual music festival that features some very interesting names.

Remote Utopias will be live streamed on NTS' two channels and will include the likes of Tame Impala, Bicep, Erykah Badu, Jonah Hill, Four Tet, JPEGMafia and Skrillex.

Jameson, who is supporting the event, have called on some of their best mates to perform, including hotly tipped New Zealand rapper JessB, Irish rap sensation Rejjie Snow, rising LA talent DUCKWRTH & British soul singer Celeste.

This isn't Jameson's first foray into helping out with a music festival.

Last year, it hosted House of Rounds, a free one-day music festival at Marrickville's Vic on the Park, which featured the likes of Alex Lahey Carmouflage Rose, Ziggy Ramo and Body Type.

The company is hoping this weekend's 24-hour radio music festival will help bring everyone together.

"As the world has gone into shutdown with gigs, festivals and tours being cancelled, mounting pressure has been placed on creatives, musicians and artists," a statement says.

"To help, Jameson are supporting the NTS' programmed 24-hour radio festival with that support going directly to upwards of fifty artists, from NTS residents to emerging and established talent, during a period of unprecedented uncertainty within the industry."

The event will also be raising much-needed funds for The Global FoodBanking Network.
