Girl From Missy Elliott's 'Work It' Video Just Performed During VMA Medley

When Missy Elliott dropped her album Under Construction in 2003, she included the now legendary song 'Work It' in the track list.

While the track was phenomenal, it was the music video that catapulted Missy into stardom.

The video ended up winning the MTV VMA Video of the Year because, well, it's awesome and included a 10-year-old girl called Alyson Stoner dancing to Elliott's lyrics.

Missy has just been gifted the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award at this year's VMAs and she decided to gift everyone with a medley of her greatest hits.

The crowd in the arena and at home were bopping along to all her best songs but were greeted with a surprise from Stoner.

Dressed in a bright yellow tracksuit, the now 26-year-old brought the goddamn house down when Missy sang 'Work It' in the background.

In fact, the hitmaker gave Alyson the whole stage to do her thing and it seemed as though the audience was absolutely loving it.

One person wrote on social media: "ALYSON STONER IS DANCING FOR MISSY ELLIOT AGAIN...these kids are too young to know how epic that shit was."

Another added: "Missy did that!!! PERIOD I can't believe she brought out Alyson Stoner."

A third wrote: "Missy Elliot bringing out her original dancer Alyson Stoner from the work it video was classic. Those are the #VMA moments you want."

As Missy accepted the award, she told the crowd: "I want to dedicate this award to the dance community all around the world.

"Because when y'all get on the stage with these artists, y'all are not just props. Y'all are not just the icing on the cake, y'all are the beat to the heart"

What a goddamn moment indeed.
