Fans of hit musical The Greatest Showman (or Hugh Jackman), this could be the best Christmas present you could ever hope for - Hugh Jackman has announced his first ever world tour, and it's called The Man. The Music. The Show.

On the tour, Jackman will perform songs from musicals such as The Greatest Showman and Les Misérables, as well as many more numbers from various Broadway musicals and films - all accompanied by a full live orchestra.

The tour will be hitting the UK in May and June 2019 with shows at the Manchester Arena (on 24 May), Birmingham's Resorts World Arena (27 May) and London's 02 Arena (3 and 7 June).

It's guaranteed to be a show not to miss - time and time again, Jackman has not only proven himself to be a talented actor, but also a truly mesmerising musical performer.

Taking the lead in The Greatest Showman - although the film itself didn't get overwhelmingly positive reviews - its soundtrack broke records.

The soundtrack sat happily at number one of the UK album chart for 11 weeks in a row, matching a record set by Adele's phenomenally successful album '21'.

In total, it actually stayed in the charts for a whopping 21 weeks, during which time it overtook Saturday Night Fever to become the longest-running soundtrack album to occupy the number one spot since the 60s.

He'll also be serenading audiences with songs from the aforementioned Les Misérables, in which he took on the role of Jean Valjean - his performance in the French revolution-themed musical was Oscar nominated and he even won a Golden Globe.

Jackman first rose to prominence as an actor when he took on the role of Wolverine in the X-Men films, which included several spin-off films centred around his character.

Although this will be Jackman's first world tour he's no stranger to Broadway and stages - in fact, the 50-year-old started his acting career back in the 90s in threatre. During this time he starred in a London West production of Oklahoma!, for which he won an Olivier 'Best Actor' award.

Tickets to see Jackman's one-man show go on sale on Friday 7 December, at 9am, on Aloud.com.
