Some might say the 'good ole days' of rock 'n roll are over. They'll lament that we don't see rock stars trashing hotel rooms or setting fire to their instruments like they did back in 'te day.

But video has emerged showing that true rock and roll isn't dead and it comes in the form of a KISS cover band.

While you might groan and roll your eyes over a group covering one of the biggest rock bands on the planet, you can see that this guitarist embodies the true grit of the genre.

During the gig in Sioux City, Iowa, sparks erupted from the stage during a big song, which isn't out of the ordinary these days.

But a small spark caught onto the guitarist's hair (yeah that ain't no wig). Because it's hair, it almost immediately caught fire.

Most people would immediately stop, drop and roll to make sure they wouldn't be consumed by the flames like some twisted Game of Thrones scene. However this bloke not only stayed calm but kept bloody playing and singing.

Bobby Jensen said he felt like Evil Knievel.

What an absolute legend.

As he continued to rock out, people backstage came to his aid and were able to stop the flames spreading.

The man of the hour, Bobby Jensen, who was dressed like KISS member Paul Stanley, spoke to Ultimate Classic Rock about what it was like to be so badass.

"I live an Evil Knievel kind of life, so if I'm on fire a little bit, I don't care, that's just part of the fun," he told them.

Jensen kept playing to his fans despite being on fire.

"I knew I was on fire right away, and that wasn't a wig, that's my hair. It was really nice and foofy before the show, now I have a much better Alice Cooper cut. It got a little warm on my head, and some of it's burned off, but it still doesn't look bad.

"I have 100% faith in my guys that they'll get to me and put me out. So I just thought, 'I'll sing to everybody while I'm on fire.'

He's almost too badass for rock and roll. Hopefully the repair job on his impressive head of hair isn't too tough.

You can only imagine that arena hall smelling of burnt hair after they managed to extinguish the flames. That is a smell you do not want to have when you're playing in front of a bunch of people.
