Lil Nas X And Gordon Ramsay Met Up To Make Paninis

Lil Nas X And Gordon Ramsay Met Up To Make Paninis

Stop the (panini) presses!

It's the collaboration that you probably had no idea that you needed, but it looks as if Gordon Ramsay and Lil Nas X actually did get together to make paninis the other day.

Now, to most reasonable people that whole sentence might sound like a different language, but let me try to explain.

The 'Old Town Road' rapper is currently enjoying a new-found popularity that has led to him travelling the world playing his music for the first time.

After playing at Glastonbury Festival the other day with Miley Cyrus and her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, the young musician decided to take a punt at hanging out with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

The significance of this - if there is any at all - is that Lil Nas X has a song entitled 'Panini'.

The other day, Nas replied to a tweet that Ramsay posted celebrating a follower milestone by saying: "Teach me how to make paninis while I'm still (in) London."

To which the Hell's Kitchen host replied: "Name the day..."

There you have it. The challenge was set, the gauntlet laid down.

Now, it looks as if the pair did actually meet up and cook up a storm together. Well, they at least made some toasted sandwiches.

Yesterday, Nas shared another tweet that read: "Y'all not gone believe who finna hop on panini"

Two things about that, for those over a certain age, that means that someone is about to make some paninis with him, and secondly, literally everyone could have guessed - and believed - who was going to 'hop on panini' because they'd been asking each other to meet up on Twitter for a few days.

Anyway - surprise, surprise - it was none other than celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

Lil Nas X confirmed this by sharing a picture of the two, both holding lovely looking paninis, and with Gordon brandishing a disconcertingly large knife.

He even managed to get a smile - well, sort of - out of the notoriously curmudgeonly British cook.

Anyway, aren't you glad you know about this, eh?

If you're not already aware, Lil Nas X recently shot to fame with his country/rap crossover hit 'Old Town Road' which features the aforementioned Billy Ray Cyrus.

On top of that, he recently came out publicly as a celebration of the last day of Pride Month.

Sharing his new track, entitled 'C7osure' he said: "Some of y'all already know, some of y'all don't care, some of y'all not gone fwm no more.

"But before this month ends i want y'all to listen closely to c7osure."

The lyrics for that song go: "True say, I want and I need to let go, use my time to be free,

"Ain't no more acting, man that forecast say I should just let me grow,

"No more red light for me baby, only green, I gotta go,

"Pack my past up in the back and let my future take a hold,

"This is what I gotta do, can't be regretting when I'm old."

It's fair to say it has been a big month for Lil Nas X, and not just in the kitchen.
