Lizzo has shared a response she received from Chris Evans that 'confirms' a rumour she devised last week suggesting she's pregnant with the Captain America actor's child. Check out the bizarre series of events below:

OK, it's a bit of a strange one, but let's just try to have a laugh with it, shall we?

Speaking in a video that was underpinned by the theme tune to Captain America: The First Avenger, the 'Juice' singer said: "This is something that I've been really trying to keep personal and private between me and the father of my child, but since we're airing out all the rumours today, I've been sucking in.

"We're gonna have a little America."

That's one way of shooting your shot, I guess.

However, strangely enough it actually worked, as she then shared a screenshot of a message that Evans sent her in response.

The Marvel star wrote: "Hi! Just heard about our little bundle of joy my mother will be so happy lol."

She captioned that post: "OMG Y'ALL - HE SAW THE BABY BUMP! WE DID IT! NOW Y'ALL GOTTA NAME LIL MERICA!!!!! WHAT Y'ALL BOUTA NAME MY BABY?"

It was only back in April that Lizzo revealed she'd got drunk and sent a message to Chris.

We've all been there, and he agreed with that.

The 40-year-old Evans responded: "No shame in a drunk DM... God knows I've done worse on this app lol."

That's clearly a reference to a mishap that Evans had on Instagram when he accidentally shared a bit more than he intended to when posting a picture of his camera roll.

He shared a picture of his d***, basically.

Evans later addressed the controversy that caused speaking to daytime talk show host Tamron Hall, telling her: "Something happened this weekend?

"It was an interesting weekend, full of lessons learned, a lot of teachable moments. It's embarrassing, but you gotta roll with the punches."

He later turned the embarrassment into something useful by imploring people to vote in the November 3 US elections.

On Twitter, he wrote: "Now that I have your attention...

"VOTE Nov 3!!!"

His Avengers co-star Mark Ruffalo - who plays Bruce Banner, or The Hulk - showed him a bit of sympathy, tweeting: "Bro, while Trump is in office there is NOTHING you could possibly do to embarrass yourself. See... silver lining."

Well, far be it from us to say that Chris Evans' d*** played a part in Trump leaving office, but it's sort of a coincidence, don't you think?
