People Are 'Grossed Out' By Shawn Mendes And Camila Cabello's Kiss

Generally speaking, couples fall into two camps, those who prefer to save their tender moments for when it's just the two of them, and those who are willing to get tonsil-deep with each other at the drop of a hat.

And if you're wondering which category singers Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello fall into, then we have the answer: the latter.

I mean, they are celebrities, they don't really have a choice in the matter - someone's going to get a pic of them smooching wherever they are.

So in a 'two fingers' to trolls who have slated the way they kiss, the couple have posted a video of themselves getting off with each other.

At the start of the video, Shawn says: "So we saw some stuff on twitter and stuff you guys saying stuff about the way we were kissing and how it looks weird, like we kiss like fish. And we just wanna show you how we really kiss."

And then the pair just go at it.

Now, you might be thinking that this is the kind of thing you'd have to pay for. But no, it's free, and it doesn't seem to have gone down too well with fans, who took to Twitter to share their disgust.

One follower wrote: "I can't believe it. They are so weird."

A second commented: "Just why? It's like teenagers having their first snog on a sofa at a party so that they look cool."

And a third added: "I'm all for a little tongue. But what made me cringe the most was the awkward silence in the middle of this performance. How do you mute a kiss?"

Not everyone was so cynical, some people just took it for the joke it clearly was and came out in defence of the couple.

One fan wrote: "Some of you people don't have a sense of humour or know what a lighthearted joke is.

"Congratulations on the love of these two and living under everyone's god damn critical ass microscope. Love hard and keep on poking fun at the people that just have bad s*** to say."

Another added: "I don't care if they kiss they're a couple and they can do whatever they want."

While a third put: "You do realise they are in their early 20s right? Still young but in love, God bless them."
