The Reason Behind Twenty One Pilots Accepting Their Grammy In Their Underpants

The Reason Behind Twenty One Pilots Accepting Their Grammy In Their Underpants

That kind of makes sense, I guess?

Winning a Grammy is presumably the pinnacle of a musician's career. They work hard, play the same song over and over and over... and for what? Fame and fortune? Balls to that. They want an AWARD.

Twenty One Pilots won the award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their single Stressed Out. Great, well done.

Weirdly, before getting on stage they both stripped off their trousers and proceeded to accept the award in their underpants.

Tyler Joseph addressed the fact they were flashing a lot of leg by saying: "Josh turned to me, and we were no-one at that time, and he said to me 'if we ever go to the Grammys, if we ever win a Grammy, we should receive it just like this'."

And that's exactly what they did.

Fair play, no-one can say that they're not men of their word. Plus, I imagine this publicity is doing them a lot of good too.

Lots of weird stuff happened at the Grammys last night...

Adele Snapped Her Grammy In Half So She Could Share It With Beyoncé

Adele cleaned up at the Grammys, picking up five awards including: song of the year, best pop vocal album and best pop solo performance.

She was also awarded the coveted album of the year prize, which, strangely, she didn't think she deserved.

In fact, she even went on to snap the award in order to give half to Beyoncé. In her speech Adele spoke about her shock and picking up the prize for her album 25, because she thought Lemonade would be the clear winner.

She said: "'I can't possibly accept this award and I'm very humbled and I'm very grateful but the artist of my life is Beyoncé. This album to me, the Lemonade album was just so monumental and so well thought out and so beautiful and soul baring.

"The way you make me and my friends feel, the way you make my black friends feel is so empowering. I love you. I always have and I always will."

Beyoncé could be seen with tears in her eyes as the 28-year-old singer made her speech.

Speaking at a press conference about the broken award Adele said: "Like I said in my speech, my album of the year is Lemonade. So a piece of me did die inside, as a Beyoncé fan - not going to lie.

"I was completely rooting for her, I voted for her. I felt like it was her time to win. What the fuck does she have to do to win Album of the Year?"

Beyoncé picked up two awards, for best urban contemporary artist and best music video.

Ed Sheeran Performed Very Last-Minute And Absolutely Smashed It

Ed only announced he would be performing at the Grammys seven hours before he took to the stage, which was less than 24 hours after appearing on Saturday Night Live, so really, you could probably forgive him if felt a bit thrown together. However, there was no need for that, because he smashed it.

Going back to his loop-pedal roots, Ed performed on his own with an acoustic guitar, a couple of mics and a keyboard.

Despite being a late addition, for many, he was the highlight of the Grammys. I mean, seriously, Twitter went wild for the ginger singer:

Beyonce's Performance Was Like Something Out Of A Movie

Despite being preggers with twins, Bey smashed it out of the park.

It was super weird though, at one point she asked the audience: "Do you remember being born?"... urm... no?

Check out these unusual pictures of her performance...
