Stormzy has been revealed as a Glastonbury 2019 headliner.

Bizarrely, a poster in an Oxfam window broke the news first. The poster from Glastonbury Free Press appeared in a branch of the shop and was quickly shared online.

The artist later posted on Instagram to confirm he'd be one of the acts topping the bill at the festival.

Rumours that Stormzy would be playing have been swirling for a while now and were ramped up a notch on Friday when Emily Eavis, who organises Glastonbury, told Radio 2 that he headline was a 'British male' and added: "It's one of the most exciting acts in British music... someone who can completely do this."

Stormzy will be the first MC to headline the festival.

As news broke on social media fans flocked to throw their support behind Stormzy:

Stormzy's Gang Signs and Prayers was huge - becoming the first grime album to hit the top spot in the UK chart when it was released last year.

The MC performed at this year's Brit Awards, where he also picked up a couple of awards for best album and best male artist.

Other acts rumoured to appear include Kylie Minogue, The Cure, Paul McCartney and The Spice Girls, so if they turn out to be true as well, there's something for everyone.

The festival is returning next year after taking a break this year and, as ever, sold out in minutes. Resale tickets will be made available next year, so if you're really keen there's still a chance.
