Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan has announced he's leaving the band.
A statement posted on Twitter reads: "Tom Meighan is stepping down from Kasabian by mutual consent.
"Tom has struggled with personal issues that have affected his behaviour for quite some time and now wants to concentrate all his energies on getting his life back on track. We will not be commenting further."
Tom, 39, has been the lead vocalist since the band formed in 1997.

The news comes after the singer said he was working on solo material during the coronavirus lockdown - but added that the band was 'still solid'.
Speaking to Sky News, he said: "I'm writing loads of music at the minute. We'll see what happens. I've got a few cookies in the jar... and they're not bad, you know.
"It's very autobiographical, like the story of my life. It's kind of... heartbreaking. Well, not heartbreaking, just to the core, you know. Very real."
Last year, Kasabian took their first extended break following six albums and more that two decades together. Songwriter Serge Pizzorno released his first solo record and Meighan commented about how proud he was.

He said: "When Sergio did his thing last year, everyone was like, 'how do you feel about it?' I love it! Why wouldn't I? His music was incredible.
"He's doing his thing, I'm doing mine but Kasabian are still solid. You know, it's just a bad time at the moment, for rock 'n' roll. For human beings in general."
Fans were quick to react to the announcement with one writing: "Kasabian without Tom just isn't Kasabian though is it? One of the last best guitar bands in the UK, sad as f***."

Another added: "2020 man. Bad news every single day. But seriously hope Tom sorts out his problems and comes back stronger so we can see Kasabian live again."
