Naughty Boy was born Shahid Khan 1st January 1985 in Watford, Hertfordshire. His parents are originally from Pakistan. Naughty Boy says he’s proud of this heritage and grew up listening to Pakistani music and watching Pakistani films.

This wasn’t long after he dropped out of studying business and marketing at university. Prior to winning the money on the game show, he had secured £5,000 worth of funding from the Princes Trust to help him set up his music production business.
