A Poll Has Revealed The UK’s Favourite 'Friends' Character Is Chandler

The poll has pitted the six Friends against each other to see who's Britain’s favourite. Could this be any more predictable.

A Friends poll has finally revealed the answer to the ultimate question.

No, it's not how to stop climate change, or solve the overpopulation crisis (although I have a few ideas...) but at least we now know who the nation's favourite character from Friends is.

Yes, after the show touched down on Netflix last month it's been back in the news with everyone trying to make the case for their favourite.

It kicked off on the internet the other week when one guy (@jsphdeal) tweeted:

"the correct order of the friends characters from best to worst:

- chandler

- phoebe

- monica

- rachel

- joey

- ross

do not @ me. i twote what i twote."

Now that the official results are in, we can see that the people don't agree with his ratings.

Sure, both the unofficial and official ratings put Chandler at the top with 20 percent of the vote, but the UK voted Joey into a close second place with 17 percent.

Phoebe is the highest of the women, pipping Rachel to third spot with 15 percent to Rachel's 13 percent.

Scrapping it out at the bottom for last place are the two siblings, Ross and Monica. Surprisingly enough, Monica finished bottom with five percent of the vote. Ross didn't do much better, though, as he only picked up six percent of the public vote.

Other essential information picked up by the survey found that women are less likely to be fans of Joey than men (well, duh) and women are more likely to prefer Phoebe.

The poll comes just weeks after Netflix made the bold move of taking the piss out of its own subscribers for the outrage at some of the less progressive parts of the show which ran from 1994 - 2004.

Some viewers were a bit worried by the fact that Joey would basically be locked up and abandoned by Hollywood for his attitude to women, Chandler doesn't want to be associated with gay men, and - in Friends' New York - there is no such thing as a black person.

Netflix cheekily tweeted to suggest some names for episodes that are millennial friendly.

They tweeted:

"FRIENDS 2018 PLOTLINES

-Joey eats Tide pods, goes to hospital (guest star Ellen Pompeo)

-Chandler won't shut up about how funny his Vines were

-Ed Sheeran cameo interrupts Phoebe's Central Perk set

-Ross gets everyone into Bitcoin

-The One Where The Gang Realizes Their Privilege"

To be honest, these all sound like better episodes than actual Friends episodes.
