Everyone, stop what you're fucking doing - JK Rowling is releasing three more Hogwarts-themed books. I repeat, THREE MORE.

Now, they're not actually going to be Harry Potter 'books', but will revolve around the magical world in which Harry learnt his ways, and will feature the odd cameo from other characters.

The books will be available as e-books through the 'Pottermore Presents' series, and bring together new stories and first-person reflections on the wizarding world.

The online novellas will be called Short Stories From Hogwarts: Power, Politics And Pesky Poltergeists; Short Stories From Hogwarts: Heroism, Hardship And Dangerous Hobbies and Hogwarts: An Incomplete And Unreliable Guide.

According to Pottermore, the first book tackles the darker side of the wizarding world, and gives a 'glimpse into the darker side of the wizarding world, revealing the ruthless roots of Professor Umbridge, the lowdown on the Ministers for Magic and the history of the wizarding prison Azkaban'. Also, it will feature more information on Horace Slughorn's first teaching stint at Hogwarts, as well as exploring his relationship with Tom Riddle before he became Voldermort - which is sure to excite the Potter anoraks.

In the second book, however, and standby... because this is fucking big... Professors Minerva McGonagall and Remus Lupin will be profiled, and McGonagall's role in the second wizarding war will be explored.

The third and final book will reportedly 'bring Hogwarts to life'. Reading it will inform you on the castle's secrets, as well as learning about the lessons taught there.

"The e-books will delight readers as they take them beyond the Harry Potter stories and deeper into the wizarding world," Pottermore CEO Susan L Jurevics said. "JK Rowling's writing in these collections reveals intricate details of her characters' lives, their histories, as well as her inspiration."

They're not quite the new Harry Potter story everyone is craving, but fuck, they sound good and exciting.

The e-books will be published on September 6, and will cost £1.99 each. They're currently available to pre-order from Pottermore and all good digital book retailers.
