The official Lucifer Twitter account has confirmed that season five part one will drop on Netflix on 21 August.
The news was announced alongside a video that compiled the Prince of Darkness' most 'devilish moments'.

The tweet reads: "And now, for your viewing enjoyment, we present 66.6 seconds of #lucifer's hottest, sexiest, most downright devilish moments. season 5 part 1 drops august 21 on @netflix."
In other words - a selection of saucy clips.
There's been a fair bit of speculation around the next instalment of the show, but one particular rumour was spectacularly quashed by the show's producer last week.
A story circulated that an Ian Somerhalder (The Vampire Diaries) would be brought in to replace Tom Ellis, but producer Ildy Modrovich quite literally laughed it off.

Ellis has played the devil in the crime drama series for the last four seasons and is set to reprise the role in a fifth soon. It looks like he's not going anywhere.
Replying to a post that called the casting speculation the 'joke of the day,' Modrovich wrote: "Bwahahahaha!"
It's safe to say that it's a resoundingly clear shoot down from Ildy.

In fact, it was recently reported that Ellis has actually signed up to star in season six of Lucifer.
Deadline reports that sources close to the show have revealed the Brit actor has agreed to take on the title role for another series.
According to the site, it had been a long slog to get the actor to put his name down for the sixth season of the show, but they managed it in the end.
Other returning cast members are onboard for another outing, meaning season six could well be officially announced soon.

The show originally aired on Fox, but it was cancelled after just three seasons. That's when Netflix swooped it up and took it off Fox's hands, which came as great news to loyal Lucifer heads.
But, this only extended the programme's run by two seasons, with the streaming service announcing last year there would be a fifth and final series.
At the time of the season five renewal, series executive producers Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson said: "We are so incredibly thankful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season, and now letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms."
