They say it's supposed to be a sign of good luck, but I imagine Niall Horan would have preferred not to have been the receptacle for a bird's doodoo during a recent television appearance.
The former One Direction star was a guest on James Corden's 'Carpool Karaoke' when exactly this happened.
Have a watch for yourself:
Things started off swimmingly for the 26-year-old crooner when he took his seat in the presenter's motor.

But then he was asked about his biggest fear... birds. And it all went downhill from there.
He said: "I hate birds. Mostly pigeons, I do enjoy a good walk in the park but the minute pigeons come into it...
"I think they're horrible, I just don't like them. I don't like the fact they're not that scared of us until you get really close to them.
"People have to run at a flock of pigeons to get them to move."

Being the lovely chap he is, Corden decided to help his guest face up to his phobia and brought him to a local park, where they met up with a bird handler who handed the 'Slow Hands' singer Ted to have a hold of.
And if that wasn't quite enough of an annoyance, two birds were then placed on his shoulder and head. Yeah, thanks.
From here, I think you can guess what happened... said bird must have sensed Niall's hatred and took the opportunity to take a dump in his freshly-coiffed hair.

Getting steadily irked by the situation, he says: "I swear this has actually made my phobia worse.
"He's just pooed on my back. I'm pretty sure... It's the one on my head that's freaking me out."
Adding: "This is the worst day of my life, all thanks to James Corden.
"I usually trust you but I just had three pigeons and one of them pooed on me. Can we just get back in the car now? Please."

Unlucky, Niall.
Carpool Karaoke is always guaranteed for some top quality comedic moments from Cords and whichever A-lister takes the hotseat.
But earlier this year, it caused a bit of a stir for the wrong reasons when a picture from filming showed the car, with Justin Bieber inside, being towed along - and not driven by the Gavin and Stacey star, as fans had been led to believe was the case.

Well, as you can imagine, viewers lost their s*** when they found out and took to social media to share their disgust.
It turned out, however, that not all was as it seemed.
Addressing the photo, Corden said: "I always drive the car, unless we're doing something we think might not be safe, like a dance routine or a costume change, or if I'm drunk. But in the case of Justin Bieber it was a safety issue where we thought it was best to tow the car - frankly I just kept getting lost in his eyes.
"Look I'm just shocked I've done something that upset people more than Cats.
"I swear to you, 95 percent of the time I really am endangering the lives of the world's biggest pop stars, OK?"
