The world turns on its axis, and with every passing second, we age. Our skin sags, our back aches and our hair turns grey, or falls out completely.
Unless you're Paul Rudd, that is.
As well as being known for his roles in the likes of Friends, Anchorman, Avengers and Ghostbusters, the actor is famed for his seemingly age-defying looks.
At 52-years-old, Rudd's appearance has barely changed across the decades he's spent on our screens.

Thankfully, the makeup department on his new show had to age him up for the part, so we've all been offered a glimpse at what he may look like by the time he's about 179.
Rudd takes on the role of psychiatrist Dr Ike Herschkopf in the Apple TV+ series The Shrink Next Door, based on the podcast of the same name.
It tells the remarkable true story of the relationship between Dr Ike and Marty Markowitz, played by Will Ferrell.

The eight-part series explores how Dr Ike used his charm and intellect over 30 years to gradually seize control of every aspect of Marty's life; and while there are still plenty of laughs, the Anchorman co-stars wade out into uncharacteristically dark waters as they play the manipulator and the manipulated, predator and prey.
The show's synopsis reads: "Inspired by true events, The Shrink Next Door details the bizarre relationship between psychiatrist to the stars Dr Isaac 'Ike' Herschkopf and his long-time patient Martin 'Marty' Markowitz.
"Over the course of their relationship, the all-too-charming Ike slowly inserts himself into Marty's life, even moving into Marty's Hamptons home and persuading Marty to name him president of the family business.
"The series explores how a seemingly normal doctor-patient dynamic morphs into an exploitative relationship filled with manipulation, power grabs and dysfunction at its finest."
The show tracks their relationship from when they first met back in 1982, right through until the bitter end, three decades later - hence we get to see Rudd looking uncharacteristically aged.

But we don't have to put Rudd on some superhuman pedestal, according to Dr Dan Dhunna, who said there are a few key areas we need to look after in order to look good down the decades.
He wrote: "Men over 40/50 do not have to look knackered. Skin/hair/teeth/weight. That's the key.
"All of Hollywood have help from people like myself, nutritionists, PTs, hormone Drs.
"Keep it all in check and you'll look great for a very long time."

Good luck with that, folks.
