Peaky Blinders Season Six: Release Date, Cast And Trailer

Peaky Blinders Season Six: Release Date, Cast And Trailer

The sixth and final season of Peaky Blinders is coming sooner than anticipated.

The Shelbys will soon be returning to our screens for one last season, with the final instalment of Peaky Blinders being previously delayed due to the pandemic.

The release date for the Birmingham-based crime drama has been teased on numerous occasions, with director Anthony Byrne sharing a teaser clip in November, captioning the post: "We're coming for you sooner than you think."

There's been plenty of speculation since about when exactly that might be, but at last, the BBC has confirmed when the sixth season will kick-off.

So, here’s all the info you need to know about season six of Peaky Blinders.

When is Peaky Blinders’ season six release date?

Good news, Peaky Blinders fans. Season six is due for release on Sunday 27th February 2022 on BBC One.

Each episode of the sixth series will air weekly at 9pm, so make sure you keep your Sunday nights free!

Otherwise, you can catch up on all you've missed on BBC iPlayer.

Who’s in the Peaky Blinders season six cast?

Cillian Murphy stans everywhere can breathe a sigh of relief, as the actor is confirmed to return for season six as Tommy Shelby, while Sam Claflin, who plays fascist politician Oswald Mosley, is also set to be returning.

Their relationship would have changed significantly since that explosive season five finale, so it’ll be interesting to see how that develops in the final series.

In December, the bombshell was dropped that Tom Hardy's character, Alfie Solomons, may indeed be making a comeback for the sixth season.

Many fans thought Hardy's character was killed off in season four, only for him to seemingly come back from the dead in the following instalment.

Alongside the revival of many of the series' main characters for the sixth season comes some new faces, including the likes of Scouse actor Stephen Graham.

Graham, who is best known for his hard-hitting roles in This Is England and Line Of Duty, was first spotted on set alongside Murphy and Paul Anderson (who plays Arthur Shelby) back in April.
