Arnold Schwarzenegger Hits Back At Trump After He Asked People To 'Pray For Arnold'

These two can't seem to get along.

They're both Republicans, they've both hosted The Celebrity Apprentice and they've both appeared on the silver screen, so really, you would imagine that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Donald J Trump would get along like a house on fire. But you would be wrong.

In fact, Arnie has said previous he would do a better job as President than Trump and the feud doesn't look like ending anytime soon.

Their latest spat started last week when, speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast Thursday, Trump asked the crowd to take a moment to prayer for the Terminator-star because his ratings are a 'disaster'.

Speaking about having to step down The Apprentice to concentrate on his election campaign Trump said: "They hired a big, big movie star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, to take my place and we know how that turned out.

"The ratings went right down the tubes - it's been a total disaster...and I wanna just pray for Arnold, if we can, for those ratings, OK?"

Now, Arnold has responded with a video on his Facebook page:

This was followed by a source close to Arnold, who told TMZ: "Arnold is praying that President Trump can start improving his own approval ratings, which were the worst in history for an incoming President, by taking his job seriously and working inclusively."

This is part of an on-going war of words between the pair.

In the run up to the election Arnie spoke out saying that he would not vote for Donald Trump. Adding salt to the wound, he said that it would be the first time that he had not voted for a Republican presidential candidate since he became a US citizen in 1983.

Although he didn't actually name Trump or say that he would be voting for Hillary, the message was quite clear:

But maybe Arnie was just a bit sore, because in October last year he announced that he wished he could run for president over Trump. Unfortunately for him, as he was born in Austria, he is unable to.

Here he is talking about why he reckons he would have smashed it:

Whatever happens, given the two's history, we can be pretty certain Trump will offer a comeback pretty soon.
