Ryan Reynolds has opened up about taking a break from acting, stating that he ‘wants to live life like a normal human’.
The A-list actor, who has three young children with his wife, Blake Lively, has decided it’s now time for him to step away from the limelight, just for a little while.
In his latest interview with LinkedIn, Reynolds was quizzed on his decision, to which he replied: “The biggest thing for me... is that I don’t want to miss this time with my kids.”

He explained: “When I’m shooting a film, I’m oftentimes in Europe, I’m away, there are incredibly long hours, it’s a ton of constant, kind of requirement to be there the whole time – not just because I’m performing but I’m also generally producing and writing on my movies as well.”
So, this appears to be the ‘perfect time’ for him to take a break from his impressive stint in Hollywood.
He believes all this extra time on his hands will allow him to work on his non-acting efforts - software platform MNTN and creative agency Maximum Effort, which he co-founded in 2018.

It seems we can add business man to the increasingly long list of Reynolds’ achievements.
The Deadpool actor spoke about wanting a normal life for his kids, as well as himself, as their jet-setter lifestyle took its toll.
“We were always away, so the kids were away too,” he recalled.
“Now that they’re in school, they have a somewhat normal schedule.”
Reynolds also gave listeners a brief look into what life was like at home during quarantine, as he said: “I certainly don’t miss Zoom school, but it was really lovely to have that insight and visibility into my kids’ real daily lives, and for my wife as well.”

The 45-year-old added that he enjoys doing all those normal parent things, like ‘taking them to school in the morning’ and ‘picking them up’.
“It's a juggling act,” he added in reference to his new business pursuits.
Last month, Reynolds featured in Netflix film Red Notice, alongside the Rock and Gal Gadot.
The film has been so popular that fans are already calling for a sequel.

The action-comedy film sees the three Hollywood A-listers involved in an art heist, although - as is so often the case - there's a bit more to it than that, and not everything is as it seems.
Let’s hope Reynolds will come back from his sabbatical for this one.
