When Seth Rogen received an invite to Adele's concert he had no idea that it was being filmed or, more importantly, that he would be sitting right on the front row.
The 39-year-old actor believed it was just 'a small Adele concert' and was not aware that it would turn out to be a major TV special.
Therefore who can blame the Superbad actor for smoking a little too much weed beforehand?
Speaking to Jimmy Fallon when he appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Rogen explained how the night went.
Appearing virtually, he told the host: "I was there, I was in the front row of the Adele concert. And that is as surprising to me as anyone because I had no idea I was attending the taping of an Adele television special.
"I got an invitation, it said 'do you wanna go to a small Adele concert?' is what I remember absorbing."
He asked his wife, Lauren Miller, whether she wanted to attend and off the pair went for the 'small' gig which was being held in Griffith Park - which covers 4,310 acres (a football pitch covers around two acres if you count the bits at the sides).
After dropping the breaking news bombshell of the decade - that Seth Rogen smokes weed - he added: "We smoked a ton of weed. We were like 'we're just going to go and enjoy this lovely Adele concert'.
"We pull up and we see cranes, camera cranes, there's drones flying around, there's an entire crew there, and I'm like, 'Oh no, we are at the filming of a television special I think. We're on a television show'. And I'm like, 'Maybe it's not that big a television special', and then the first person I see is Oprah Winfrey."
Seth and Lauren decided that they would 'slink into the background' of the TV special and hopefully no one would see them or at least notice that they were high.
Anyway, he went on to say: "We go up to the desk and they give us our tickets and our seat numbers are literally 1A and 1B. And I'm like 'oh no, that sounds close'.
"We go to 1A and 1B and we're in the front row. We're in front row centre. We're as close as you can fathomably be. I sit down, there's like a camera literally pointed at my face."
Rogen went on to ask Adele 'why did you do that?', adding: "The whole time I'm like 'there's so many more famous people than me here that should be sitting where I'm sitting'.
"And I could just feel them be insulted that I had such a good seat. I was in front of Drake. There's no world where I should be in front of Drake."
He went on to explain that the whole time he was just 'trying to look cool', saying: "Which is not a healthy thought to have."
