Brock Lesnar Just Earned The Biggest Pay Day In UFC History By A Long Way

So last night Brock Lesnar returned to the UFC five years after retiring due to diverticulitis.

UFC 200 in Las Vegas had one of the most stacked cards ever but the Lesnar vs Mark Hunt fight was the one that was going to draw in the crowds.

How would a man who'd been in the WWE for five years fare against a seasoned fighter after so long out of the game? Well, Lesnar beat Hunt by unanimous decision after two successful takedowns in rounds one and three, to answer his critics.

Having gone into the fight as the underdog, Lesnar was in bullish mood and was still the star name on the UFC 200 card.

And when you're the star name, you should expect the rewards that come with that, regardless of your performance.

The fight itself was over in 15 minutes, and was by no means a classic, but according to Kevin Lole of Fox Sports, Lesnar will have been paid a huge $2.5 million for his fight with Hunt.

And that's before you factor in the pay-per-view revenue that will be shared between the fighters later on.

The previous record of $1 million was held by none other than 'The Notorious' Conor McGregor who will probably be on the phone to UFC president Dana White desperate to be in the same pay grade when he next appears on a fight card.
