Floyd Mayweather Takes Another Hit At McGregor By Stepping Into The MMA Cage

It seems Mayweather's taken another stab at McGregor, having posted a video of him entering the MMA cage.

Just a day after he took a shot at Conor McGregor on Twitter, Floyd Mayweather has now stepped into the MMA cage in what looks like it could be another stab at the UFC star.

Just yesterday, Mayweather posted a photo of the two from their previous fight with the caption '#MCM Mayweather Crushes McGregor'.

And it seems Mayweather's still at it, having posted a short video to his social media channels that seemed to show him stepping into an MMA cage.

It didn't take long for McGregor to respond with a comeback, saying: "Hahahaha very good. Keep up the good work my son. Yours sincerely, Senior."

Fans were also quick to urge Floyd to rethink his move, with one person, Pat, writing on Facebook: "I hope that ain't no Octagon you're in Floyd. You a great boxer but stay in you Squared Circle. They got some beast out there."

Refiloe said: "THIS VIDEO IS GOING TO SPARK A LOT OF CONTROVERSY".

Meanwhile, Paul joked: "Probably couldn't read the sign that said Octagon Entrance."

Their beef is by no means new beef, of course, after McGregor was beaten by Mayweather by TKO in a Las Vegas fight back in August.

Mayweather then rattled McGregor's cage just a few months back after he was heard banging on about making a billion dollars if he fought in the UFC. UFC President Dana White then said that, actually, they were indeed in talks about Mayweather coming in.

But then Mayweather decided to backtrack on all of that, saying that he only claimed he 'could', not that he would.

In an interview with FightHype, Mayweather claimed that his original statement had been misconstrued, and that 'would' and 'could do' are very different concepts.

"Exactly what I said is this: If I could make over a billion dollars before, I could do it again," he said.

"If I chose to get in the UFC and fight three fights or fight four fights and then fight Conor McGregor, I could make a billion dollars. Which I can. I could do it in three fights or even four fights - I could make a billion dollars. If I choose to get in the Octagon and fight.

"I'm just saying I could. I'm not going to do it. I'm just saying what I could do to make a billion dollars quick, if I wanted to do that. But I never said I was going to fight in the UFC. I didn't say that. If I wanted to, I could do. Would and could do is different things. I'm not going to do it though."

It didn't exactly take Conor McGregor long to butt in, needing only one word to do so. He posted a photo of himself with his two UFC belts to Instagram, captioning the post with 'Pussy'.

Now, now, boys - play nicely.
