Ever since Conor McGregor got his revenge over Nate Diaz, defeating him on points at UFC 202, there's been much speculation over the next move for The Notorious.

Dana White said that he's 'over it' with regards to the rivalry between the Irishman and the Stockton fighter, when people called for a third fight between the two.

Given that Conor is still the reigning featherweight champion, there's quite a bit of interest in the 28-year-old dropping his weight back down to 145lbs and defending his title against the man he defeated to win it, José Aldo.

There was also some speculation over whether Conor would drop down to 155lbs, putting him in the lightweight division, where he could fight Eddie Alvarez for his title.

Now, Dana has given Mystic Mac an ultimatum. Conor won't be stripped of his featherweight title, but he will be forced into making the decision of either giving it up, or defend it.

"Conor's not going to get stripped," Dana told NBC Sports Radio. "He's going to make a decision. He knows the Nate Diaz fight isn't the fight to make right now.

"He has to either defend his title or give it up and decide what he wants to do next. We'll get that figured out with him."

Currently at 170lbs, Conor would have to drop 25lbs to reach 145lbs and compete in the featherweight division again. While there, he dominates.

At this point it'd probably make much more sense to give up his title, drop his weight to 155lbs and face Alvarez. It's clear that despite the extensive training he went through to have two fights in the welterweight division, he couldn't quite hack it there.

Whatever decision The Notorious makes, there's no doubt that excitement will follow him.
