The second fight between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz was thrilling. It was entertaining, exhilarating, and was befitting of one of the most publicised UFC feuds.

Now, in my opinion, is the time for it to end. Yes, people want the trilogy, but having a third fight puts their rivalry in danger of becoming boring and outdated. It'd make more sense for McGregor if he dropped the weight he gained, returned to the featherweight division, and dominated. Plus, we want the Aldo rematch.

One man who feels the same way as me is Dana White.

White has revealed that McGregor's 'over it' and now has two options. The first is to cut his weight back down to 145lbs, and put his featherweight title on the line against José Aldo, or he'll have to surrender the belt. The other option is for the Irishman to cut his weight down to 155lbs and fight Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title.

The McGregor/Diaz saga has been an entertaining ride, but these two options make much more sense.

"The war was fun and super successful but I'm movin' on," Dana told TMZ Sports, confirming that 'The Trilogy' isn't happening any time soon.

This may not favour Diaz, though, as he's reportedly 'not doing shit' until he has the third fight with The Notorious.
