Following on from Tyron Woodley's defeat against Jake Paul, fans have started to defend the former UFC champ, claiming the fight was 'rigged'.

The judges scored the fight 77-75, 75-77, 78-74 to the social media sensation who was fighting in his home city of Cleveland, Ohio.

Taking to Twitter after the results came in, fans of Woodley (or haters of Paul) have blasted the decision.

One wrote: "Cool another rigged win for Jake Paul. Woodley put no effort in so even if against all the odds it isn't rigged Woodley wanted to lose," before adding: "He [Woodley] was never rocked yet took no risks."

Another added: "Is it just me or does it look like all the Paul brothers fights are rigged??

"I mean Woodley could've ended this fight like 3 times already."

Others were quick to defend Paul, with someone sharing a screengrab of the stats showing that the YouTuber had a total of 22 body shots that landed while his opponent managed six.

Alongside the figures, they simply wrote: "If you think the Paul Woodley fight was rigged you're just an idiot."

Some had the opinion that Paul should have won outright, saying it shouldn't have even gone to a split decision.

Another said: "Everyone who thinks that Paul/Woodley fight was 'rigged' is clearly biased because they don't like the image of the Paul brothers going from YouTube stars to boxers."

A sixth wrote: "I don't think the Paul/Woodley fight was rigged.

"I do think Jake Paul has yet to fight a professional boxer."
